Our hearts are heavy from the tragedy in the Texas Hill Country. We pray for those impacted by the flooding. At all of our camps, Young Life has emergency procedures, both for natural disasters and accidents, and we regularly train on and review these procedures. The safety of every young person at camp is one of our highest priorities, and it influences our decision-making in every aspect of camp. Become a wrangler at Castaway
Wranglers play a vital role in our school season camping ministry. Our wranglers are volunteers 18+ that have the ability to learn, serve others and have a desire to be a small part of the work Christ is doing at Castaway year-round. Wranglers will strive to serve a variety of guests on camp throughout the year. They will also have the opportunity to grow as leaders in ministry, develop Christ-like relationships and enjoy the fun and beauty of camp.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to arrive Friday evening and stay on camp until Sunday afternoon on a standard weekend.
- Willingness to serve! You do not need any previous experience to be a wrangler at Castaway Club. Everything will be taught!!
Roles
- Guest Services: Your specific duties will vary but can include assisting in the operation of the climbing wall and swing, archery tag, retail, setting up events, serving food, sound training and performing general maintenance and cleaning duties.
- Kitchen: You will be a vital asset to the kitchen camp staff helping to prepare and serve guests meals Friday night-Sunday morning. Your specific duties will vary and there will be on the job training.
